Because the new drawing die is modular....
.....the drawing nib, the only part subject to wear, can be replaced, while the casing remain in use for an indefinite number of operations.

The overall dimensions are the same as for traditional dies, consequently these new dies can be employed on all machines without any modification.

Drawing nibs are easy to replace by simply unscrewing  the casing. Worn nibs can be recycled to recover the value of the tungsten carbide.
